Lynn Johanson, cherished wife of Gordon Johanson, of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at the age of 77 years.

Born in Maidstone, SK, on September 4, 1946, Lynn pursued her passion for education, graduating from the University of Saskatchewan with a degree in Teaching. She ventured to Calgary in 1968, where fate led her to Gordon, whom she married in 1970.

Lynn was the heart of her family; adored as a loving wife, devoted mother, and affectionate grandmother. Her vibrant enthusiasm for life was mirrored in her love for sports, where she excelled in them all, especially curling, speed skating, skiing, softball, ringette, and golf. Lynn's sportsmanship extended beyond the playing field, as she dedicated herself to coaching with numerous sports associations over the years and serving as a board memberalongside her volunteer work as a canvasser for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Lynn's passion for teaching thrived in the classroom, especially during her time at The Skill Factory, where she found profound fulfillment in nurturing young minds. She had a unique ability to connect with each student, understanding their strengths and challenges and guiding them with patience and kindness.

For all who knew Lynn, her adventurous spirit was unmistakable. She embraced travelling to be with family, from trips to Australia to vacations in Mexico—and enjoyed countless golf getaways with Gordon and their cherished friends, seeking solace from the Canadian winters.

Lynn's legacy will endure through her unwavering devotion to loved ones, her talent for gardening, and, most notably, her remarkable resilience in confronting life's challenges. Throughout her battle with cancer, Lynn's courage and steadfast optimism touched the hearts of all who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Gordon Johanson, daughter Dana Robitaille and son-in-law Anthony Robitaille of Montreal, QC; sons Chad Johanson and Sean Johanson, along with daughter-in-law Elizabeth Carey of Calgary, AB; grandchildren Easton and Taylor Robitaille of Montreal, QC, and Cooper and Sawyer Johanson of Calgary, AB; brother Brent Burlingham and sister-in-law Lorrie Burlingham of Saskatoon, SK.

Lynn's warmth extended beyond her immediate family to her extensive network of relatives and friends, whose bonds were cherished throughout her life.
