Dr. Robert Brent Logan, MD, passed away in Calgary, AB, on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at the age of 75 years.

Brent was born on March 3, 1949, in Calgary, AB. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a missionary in Sweden for three years as a young adult.

Brent graduated from the University of Calgary with a degree in Medicine and had a long, fulfilling career as a medical doctor. He worked the latter years of his career as a family practitioner in Northwest Calgary, where he made a positive impact on countless lives. Brent was passionate about lifelong learning, with a particular interest in science (physics and engineering), medical innovations, and technological advancements.

In his free time, Brent enjoyed playing guitar, skiing (downhill and water), analyzing financial market cycles, and learning more about his family history. He was enthusiastic about physical activity, particularly Tae Kwon-Do and jogging. He found happiness being near lakes, with many fond memories of summers at Flathead Lake (MT), Windermere Lake (BC), and Lake Pend Oreille (ID).

Brent is survived by his six children, Elizabeth (Patricio), Alison (Andrew), Caitlin, Brittany, Holliston, and Richard (Jacqueline); their mother Jennifer, his brother Brad, and four grandchildren, Elliott, Charlotte, Santiago, and Fernando. He was predeceased by his parents, Hallie and Robert Logan.

Upon his mother’s passing, Brent shared these amusing words in her obituary - “[The family] All seem to have had cardiovascular problems, so we should all exercise and take our statins!” Brent, with his distinctive sense of humour, would want this reminder reiterated following his sudden passing.

Funeral Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Calgary West Stake Centre, (6560 Silver Springs Crescent NW Calgary, AB), on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.
